Our subspecialized radiologists come from Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) in Minnesota. CDI has been providing MRI interpretations and imaging services to Midwest patients and their doctors for nearly three decades. These subspecialized radiologists have a long-standing history of providing thorough and accurate imaging reports that guide patients' care. 

Kurt P. Schellhas, M.D.

 Kurt P. Schellhas, M.D. is the medical director at Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) - Twin Cities. In addition, he is the director of Spine Intervention.

Dr. Schellhas completed a neuroradiology fellowship at University of Minnesota Hospitals. Prior to that, he held a pathology internship at St. Paul Ramsey Medical Center and a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Minneapolis Veterans Hospital and University of Minnesota Hospitals. Dr. Schellhas received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota.

Blake A. Johnson, M.D.

Blake A. Johnson, M.D. is Director of Neuroimaging at Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI).

Before joining CDI, Dr. Johnson was chief of neuroradiology at David Grant Medical Center. He also served as assistant clinical professor of radiology at the University of California, San Francisco. He subsequently received an appointment as associate clinical professor of radiology at the University of Minnesota. Following his residency in diagnostic radiology, he completed a neuroradiology fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Johnson completed both his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis.

Ronald S. Pobiel, M.D.

Ronald S. Pobiel, M.D. is a neuroradiologist with Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI). Most recently, Dr. Pobiel was a neuroradiology fellow at the Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. Prior to that position, he was co-director of pediatric imaging at the Radiology Associates of Birmingham, P.C.

Dr. Pobiel completed a fellowship in pediatric radiology at the Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, and his residency in diagnostic radiology at University Hospital at the University of Cincinnati. In addition, he held an internship in internal medicine at the University of California in San Francisco after receiving his medical degree from the University's School of Medicine. Dr. Pobiel completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota College of Biological Sciences, receiving a B.S. degree in biochemistry with Summa Cum Laude honors.

Mark Myers, M.D.

Mark Myers, M.D. is a neuroradiologist at Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI), bringing over 15 years of experience in imaging and interventional procedures. Dr. Myers is actively involved in neuroradiological imaging, spine imaging and intervention, and is directing our spinal augmentation practice and advanced spine investigations at CDI.

Dr. Myers has unique, specialized expertise in MR and CT angiography for brain applications, having treated more than 1,000 intracranial aneurysms. He also has additional expertise in vertebroplasty (spinal augmentation) procedures. Dr. Myers has treated more than 1,750 patients with spinal fractures using this technique.

Dr. Myers completed a fellowship in neuroradiology from the University of Minnesota and a residency in diagnostic radiology at St. Luke's Hospital of Kansas City in Missouri. He received his doctor of medicine and bachelor of science degrees from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also attended Oxford University in England while an undergraduate.
